WHAT WE STAND FOR
We are all about kind, natural, common sense & effective Horsemanship. While we are very familiar with, we are not advocates of the current and varied methodologies out there today.
As a successful Riding Instructor & horse trainer for over 30 years, I have had to constantly clean up the mess these methods make with horses and riders alike.
I am completely well -studied and familiar with all methods available, yet not a subscriber to any of them.
One common denominator remains throughout them all, and that is force and fear. Rather than relationship based training.
Many claim to be kind and relationship based but simply are not.
For example claiming to be a kinder method by taking away halters, leads and bridles, and then replacing them with whips??? This is simply 'different' force.
We do not accept force as a way to train horses but rather a relationship similar to a parent / child relationship, given a parent knows more than the child and understands how to keep the child safe, which is the same underlying factors in a horse / rider relationship.
There are many people out there who have not had any equine training yet flourish with horses because they simply understand this relationship and apply common sense, (otherwise known as horse sense).
These people are more effective and successful with horses than those currently trained in the horse methodology available, they are more advanced in their understanding and never encounter the drama "trained" riders do.
I think it's time to recognize these delightful people for what they are. Which is the more advanced in our equine community.
So to those who love their horses to bits, spoil them rotten, play with them, allow them to be a horse and keep their spirit, give them treats, cuddles & talk to them, hang out with them and enjoy their company, here's to you you super great equine advanced geniuses!
NEVER allow out of touch so called equine education to judge you or change you. The sky is the limit with horses for you and it takes guts not to buy into bullshit when the majority do
Keep building that true, respectful, honest relationship with your equine friends, you are a masterpiece, please also feel free to tell us your beautiful journeys and stories here or on our website. We welcome them!
